Florida’s Gulf Coast:
Temperatures here are warmer then you will find in New England, but by take this road trip in fall to enjoy it rather than in summer when heat is unbearable in Florida. Start by having a small drive of 19 miles on Florida’s Highway 30A, which runs along the Gulf of Mexico. Have a stop at any of South Walton’s 16 beach neighborhoods and see sugar white sands due to their quartz crystal makeup. You can also visit rare costal dune lakes which are seen in very few places all over the world. If you are foodie you can make a stop at Airstream Row, a street lined with aluminum trailers serving up tasty dishes.
